Project Description
The design incorporates a majestic oak tree, a cherished landmark, into the heart of the school’s layout. Special classrooms like music and computer labs are positioned to maximize natural light and views of this beautiful natural element.
The school’s exterior reflects the surrounding Brunswick neighborhood, seamlessly blending with the revitalized downtown area and the established residential district. Design elements pay homage to the recently restored church, a 1950s midcentury modern design. The school features subtle nautical themes, a nod to the fishing industry and the Portuguese immigrants who settled in the area and helped the Catholic parish grow. Modern windows are complemented by stunning stained glass, creating a unique and inspiring learning environment.
